About

According to the National Eye Institute, 2-3% of children are diagnosed with amblyopia (or lazy eye). The most common therapy used to treat amblyopia is patching, where the child wears a patch over the dominant eye to make the weaker one work harder. But getting a kid to wear an eye patch is not fun. At least that’s what we have been hearing from parents whose kids are diagnosed with amblyopia. So, what can we do to make patching a bit more fun and tolerable? Make cute patches that stay in place and intact!

When I first started looking at eye patches, I found a whole bunch of tacky! Why was it so difficult to find a fun, stylish reusable eyepatch? And why were they so expensive?  I knew I could do better  and make patches that were fun and well-made and still offer the product at a reasonable price.

Mod Patch eye patches are fun and functional. They are washable, reusable and come in a variety of sizes and colors; and now Mod Patch eye patches are no longer just for kids. Sometimes adults need to patch as well. Eye surgery, eye loss and blindness often require adults to patch. We think patching should be fun for big people too!
